Benefits and uses of Aloe vera oil for skin and hair

 

Aloe vera is one of the best medicinal plants that cures many ailments and health disorders. It has many healing properties and has been in use by many countries for many centuries.

Aloe vera oil is obtained by the extraction of the leave and mixing it with other oils like almond or soybean. It contains vitamin B,C,E, amino acid, allantoin, enzymes, minerals, antioxidant, protein, beta-carotene and polysacharides.

It has many cosmetics uses which includes: shampoo, body lotions, face wash and hair gel.

                         BENEFITS OF ALOE VERA OIL INCLUDES:

  • SCARS:

Aloe vera oil helps to cure capillary dilation which makes your skin looks beautiful. It helps to lower the formation of scars and also stimulates the process of wound healing.

  • SKIN

Aloe vera oil is used to soften the skin and protects against infection. It can help in the treatment of genital herpes and seborrheic dermatitis. It can also be used to cure acne, skin ulcers, eczema and psoriasis.

  • MASSAGE OIL

Alo vera oil can also be used as a massage oil which helps in relaxation. It helps to treat shoulder, leg, body, back and neck pain. It helps to smoothen the skin and helps to prevent herpes, skin cancer, viruses and shingles.

  • HAIR

Aloe vera makes the hair strong, clean, thick and conditioned. It helps to prevent hair loss and also strengthens it. It helps to grow hair by enhancing the blood circulation process. It also prevent dry hair and scalp.

  • ANTI-OXIDANT

Aloe vera contians aloe-emodin which helps to eliminate viruses that lead to shingles, cold and sores. It is also a great source of antioxidant which can be helpful in the prevention of skin damages from radiation.

  • INSECT BITE

Aloe vera helps to reduce swelling and inflamatory that is caused by insect bites because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

SIDE EFFECTS

Aloevera is safe to be applied on the skin and not to be ingested. It contains some nutrients and compound which can be toxic in larger concentrations caused by certain chemicals used during the extraction process. Internal use of aloe vera in general, wether the oil, juice or gel may lead to gastrointestinal problems like nausea and vomiting. It can also lead to diarrhea and in some cases it may cause more severe reactions like kidney failure. Some people who are allergic to Aloe vera should avoid using any of its product as it can cause dermatitis on the skin.
